This week John Charles (5) and I will be reading from The World of Robert McClosky. The story we’ll be reading is Lentil.
This book has been in our family since 1999 when our oldest son was 6 years old.
Since it’s Memorial Day I’ll be sure to focus on the Memorial Park and monuments and also on how the entire town celebrates and remembers Colonel Carter and all that he had done.
“Then…..past the drug store, the barber shop, and the Alto Library, which was a gift of the great Colonel Carter, by the Methodist Church, through the Carter Memorial Park, and around the Soldiers and Sailors Monument that the Colonel had built there.”
Book Sharing Monday is hosted by Serendipity Home School.
