I am really enjoying the project this year and can’t wait to organize all the photos into a book.
On the first of the year I began participating in the 365 Photo Project. I’m happy to say that I have stayed faithful to my commitment to take and post a photo every day. I just posted photo number 103! Looking through my photos, I realized that I like to take photos of flowers, animals, food and children’s art projects. These are some of my favorites.

Cake Baking
John Charles helped Nana make Randy’s birthday cake. Licking the beaters was a great treat.
Outdoors
Autumn has brought a delightful change in temperature to the great south. Today’s windy and cool air seemed to lure everyone outdoors. We enjoyed an afternoon visit to the park where John Charles especially enjoyed the swings.
Day 149 – Autumn Landscape
I’m working on painting an Autumn landscape. This is a peak at what I’ve painted so far.
Day 150 – Sunnier Days
We’ve had way too much rain and more rain is being predicted for at least the next 6 days. This photo was taken on a beautiful sunny day. It’s a great reminder that this rain will pass!

Harvest Basket
Since the Summer activities are winding down and our schedule is back to normal, I think I can resume taking part in Project 365. Today’s photo is of my newest Autumn decor pieces. It’s a harvest basket that I am using as a centerpiece in the dining room for now.
September 1st is the day that I normally begin decorating for Fall. Today was a perfect day for it too. The weather changed and it felt like Fall was in the air. It was so comfortable and refreshing after our hot and humid Summer. Fall has always been my favorite season of the year!
Bird’s Nest
We found this little nest on the ground yesterday. It must have been blown from a tree last week when the winds were so strong.
Yard work
Saturday’s and yard work just seem to go together. We haven’t spent much time in the yard lately because of the rain. It needed some work today!
Turtle
The guys had a campout last night. They found this turtle at the campsite. They spent some time observing him, but released him back to where he belongs.
Lunch For One
The boys have both been out with Randy this morning. I’ve enjoyed the time for myself. I also enjoyed being able to make a quick microwave lunch and the easy cleanup that goes along with it. I guess it just gives me more time to work on the laundry that never ends!
Awww!
Baby Randy’s hand and foot print. They were made when he was only 19 days old. Isn’t that sweet.
Picnic Spot
We love picnics! A spot next to water is always especially nice.
Date Night
Randy and I enjoyed a local performance of Steel Magnolias on our last date night. The play was just as funny as the movie and it was enjoyable to do something we don’t normally do.
Dog Sitting
We were dogsitters over the weekend. This is Pongo. He’s GoGo and Granddaddy’s 13 year old boy.
Starr’s Mill
We visited Starr’s Mill while we were out this weekend. We enjoyed the scenery and snapped some great photos.
Fun in the Park
John Charles enjoyed the chance to play at the park in between rain showers. Rain, rain, GO AWAY!

Thrifted Afghan
I got this afghan from the thrift shop yesterday. It looks like it had never been used and was only 99 cents. I hate to think about how much work someone put into for someone who didn’t care to keep it. It has a home now and I loved wrapping up with it after playing in the pool with John Charles this morning.
