Our local United Daughters of the Confederacy unit helped a woman from Texas honor her ancestor at a memorial service today. The service honored Capt. Charles S. Stark, who is buried at Stonewall Cemetery in our town.
Randy is Lt. Commander of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans here in our town. The men have a rifle team that supports memorial services and dedications throughout the area. These men are all avid reenactors as well as historians dedicated to preserving the truth and memory of their Confederate ancestors.
