I'm updating the blog with photos from our weekend trip in between rebooting the washer and dryer and putting clothes away. Well, actually the clean clothes have only made it to the love seat - but they are folded!
Now, about our trip. We thought that the weather was going to clear up by lunch time on Saturday, but it didn't work out that way. While it didn't rain all day, the sun never came out. We decided to wait until Sunday to go to the Pow Wow, since sun was predicted for that day.
We mostly enjoyed lounging around the chalet. Late morning, Randy and John Charles walked down to Randy's favorite old time grocery and picked up a few things. In the afternoon, I joined them and we walked to the main part of town and looked around some shops. We didn't venture into a lot of them for fear that John Charles would break something. When John Charles got too tired to continue we walked back to the chalet and Randy and Zach spent some time in town.
At dinner time we all walked back to town and had dinner at a pizza place on the river where Randy and I had enjoyed a lunch 16 years ago on our honeymoon.
After we finished eating, it was raining again. We decided to go on a carriage ride around the town. Randy and I had done this before, but it was a first time for the boys. The driver had his dog with him and I think the boys enjoyed him as much as the ride. When the ride was over the driver gave us some food to feed the horse.
By this time the rain was getting heavier and we hurried back to what John Charles had starting calling "our Chalet house". Again, we were thankful for the hot tub!

The hot tub and the carriage ride look like so much fun.
